Rajghat will be the last resting location of Mahatma Gandhi, the Father in the Nation. The cremation of Mahatma Gandhi took place at the Delhi Raj Ghat only, on 31st January 1948. The memorial stone of Mahatma Gandhi placed there is a basic square platform created of black stone, using the words "Hey Ram" inscribed close to it. As homage towards the Mahatma, an eternal flame, in a copper urn, retains on burning there. Enclosing the memorial is really a reduced wall, straightforward with no ornamentation.
